Paris je t’aime - official partner 2024
If a building becomes architecture, then it is art
La vie, c'est Paris!
What could be better than hearing the bells of Notre Dame de Paris ringing! In this issue, we share the emotions of the incredible resurrection, but we also cannot forget about a number of other blockbusters: the Jacquemart-André Museum opened its doors in September to show masterpieces brought from the Borghese Gallery, the Museum of Architecture will tell the story of des grands magasins, and the Louvre will inspire with a fashion “show”.
The opening of Notre Dame de Paris on Saturday December 7, 2024 was an unforgettable evening of sanctity, spectacle and emotion. From the solemn rituals to the ovation for the heroes of 2019 and the grand light show on the façade, where Pharrell Williams appears with his legendary song “Happy”!
“The Cathedral is a happy metaphor for what the nation and the world should be. [...] Notre Dame tells us that our dreams, even our wildest dreams, are only possible through the will of each individual and the commitment of all. [...] The bells will ring, the organ will awaken, the faithful will come to pray, the world will see the cathedral rebuilt and transformed. And we must treasure this lesson of fragility and determination and never forget how important each person is and how the greatness of this cathedral is inseparable from everyone's work.” - Emmanuel Macron.
After a year of renovation, the Jacquemart-André Museum reopens its doors with a blockbuster exhibition of forty masterpieces from the Galleria Borghese in Rome!
Rarely do major collections travel the world. But this time all the stars have aligned: this is a unique chance to see masterpieces by Raphael, Antonello de Messina, Parmigiano, Titan or Leonardo da Vinci at the same time in Paris.
The saga of des grands magasins is a journey through the history of department stores - at the Cité de l'architecture you will discover how they revolutionised fashion, culture and consumption.
Since Cézanne, we have known that ‘the Louvre is the book by which we learn to read’, but this inexhaustible source of inspiration also nourishes one of the most vibrant areas of contemporary art: the world of fashion. The exhibition Louvre couture: Art and Fashion will show us the dialogue that continues between the world of fashion and the department's greatest masterpieces, from Byzantium to the Second Empire. Each of these pieces of clothing and accessories is specially borrowed from the most iconic fashion houses, both long-standing and recent, in Paris and around the world.

See you in Paris in 2025!
